Yup.

Yup, nothing coming so far. Brutal Legend looks awesome. I might actually get a console just to get it. I'm trying to listen to more metal and such. I need interests, and this seems like a good one.

I just found out that the day I was born on was a Wednesday. I'm Wednesday's Child, full of woe. That doesn't do much for my mood. :| At least Solomon Grundy got married on a Wednesday.

Inspiration Ho!

I was listening to tracks from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds musical (which is friggin' awesome, by the way) today, and an idea struck me. What would you guys think about a story involving ships as psychopomps, albeit with different alignments and goals.

The two vessels I had in mind are the Pequod, from Herman Melville's Moby Dick, and the HMS Thunder Child, from HG Wells' War of the Worlds (of course X3). My idea would rest on an unfortunate mariner lost at sea, drifting in and out of consciousness, and being caught in the middle of struggle between the two ships, or rather being the prize in their struggle.

Now, these can't be just ordinary ghost ships. Both met rather spectacular ends in their own ways, and those would influence their appearance in the story.

My idea for the Pequod was that it's not even a ship anymore; Moby Dick is using it as an armored carapace, and the crew, tied to him and the ship, as appendages, along with all manner of sea creatures.

The Thunder Child would be of a completely different nature. As it was destroyed by Martian heat ray blasts, the ship would be twisted and melted, totally engulfed in flames, the crew manning it, fiery skeletons.

Tell me whatcha think!

I'm a materialist, personally as well as philosophically. It feels good to have things; those things enable events, which lead to more things and more events, etc. Having a phone, a computer, a car, and a job makes me feel centered and stable. Topping it all off, I'm finally thinking up a new idea (mostly thanks to playing Overlord), so I might actually update sometime this summer.

Hope the warmer months are treating you guys right.
